ELECTROPHORETIC LACQUER

UVICLAD

Technologically advanced, UV curing lacquer that is designed for temperature sensitive substrates. This system is unique because it does not rely on thermal curing; this saves energy and therefore is cost effective in the long run. While its curable with mercury and LED UV lamps, LED UV curing is a low maintenance, energy efficient and fast alternative. In addition it provides excellent corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal.

PHOTO RESISTS

This is a high resolution imaging lacquer. It is a special case of Uviclad designed to act like a ‘resist’ on the substrate so that intricate patterns can be created on it. This lacquer is UV sensitive and is largely developed for printed circuit boards but has many other applications.

ZETACLAD

Carefully formulated lacquer containing nano silica. The silica is specifically added to deliver enhanced hardness and superior wear resistance. The unique aspect about the lacquer is that despite the reinforcing silica content, it is optically transparent and therefore works like a clear lacquer.

ULTEC

Saving energy not only saves the environment but also saves production cost. ULTEC is a meticulously designed lacquer that cures at considerably low temperatures and has proven to reduce oven time. This product possesses tangible benefits to large scale and small-scale manufacturers. In addition it is known for its perspiration resistance, corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal.

TEKTOR

Tektor is a dry lubricating electrophoretic process. It is an excellent replacement for traditional lubricants such as oil and grease. It enables easy sliding of touching surfaces as it is specifically designed for friction control. It is also known for its anti squeak properties and has found major applications in the defense and automotive industry.

LECTRAPEARL

Largely designed to meet decorative requirements. This paint creates an attractive satin metallic and pearlescent effect. This system can replace processes such as ‘satin chrome’. This lacquer can be applied directly to the pre treated base metal and is therefore cost saving as it cuts out the work steps required in a traditional satin chrome plating process.

LECTRASEAL

Anodic process specifically created for coating anodized aluminium but is also suited for zinc and magnesium. Lectraseal, as the name suggests is an organic sealant for anodized aluminium and can be a great replacement to hydrothermal sealing.

LECTROBOND

Small fasteners are most efficiently coated through barrels and this system is specifically developed to enable lacquering through barrel coating. With this process, an even and complete coat can be deposited as the parts move within the barrel.

LECTROBASE

Normal electrophoretic coatings are electrical insulators. Lectrobase is specially modified to be electrolytically conductive after curing and that provides static electricity dissipation properties and the ability to apply a further electrophoretic coating.
