Chemical Polishing

Our processes for chemical polishing are unique because they deburr, smooth and polish metal surfaces in a single operation; this makes them highly cost effective. The processing chemical removes a thin layer of material across the entire wetted surface of the part, thereby smoothing and polishing it in the microsphere. At the same time any particles, flakes, debris, contamination and structural damage contained in the surface layer is removed.

METAL APPLICATIONS:

Metals – Aluminium, carbon steels, titanium, copper and copper alloys.

APPLICATION METHODS
  • Individual components: Through immersion using tanks, baskets or suspension equipment
  • Pipes and long drilled holes: By pumping the solution through the components
  • Small parts: Mostly loose, as bulk goods in drums, provided they do not damage each other
  • Wires and strips: By continuous processing on reel to reel equipment or in a loose bundle
  • Large containers: By means of spraying or sprinkling

Electropolishing

Our processes for electropolishing effectively remove burrs and particles in a single operation. Through electropolishing a thin layer of material from the surface of the substrate is removed by means of anodic dissolution. With our systems, impurities, particles, micro-cracks, structural defects and local tensions in the metal can be eliminated thereby increasing the productivity of the base metal.

METAL APPLICATIONS:

Metals – Alluminum, steel, cobalt alloys, carbon steel, copper and copper alloys, magnesium, nickel, nickel alloys, titanium and titanium alloys

APPLICATION METHODS
  • Individual parts on contact racks
  • Large quantities of small parts in drums
  • Cables and strips on a continuous reel-to-reel basis
  • The processing of the internals of tubes and containers in special installations

Deburring

Burrs and particles can be a problem during assembly or later during operations and must be reliably and cost-effectively removed. Our products aim to remove burrs and particles from the entire surface and ensure that the surface is burr free. This is possible even for inaccessible places such as holes, threads and indentations and is largely independent of form, structure, size hardness and roughness of the parts. Burrs up to a size of approx. 0.5 mm are safely removed with our technology.

Chemical Brightening

Our brighteners clean and efficiently remove oxide layers from various substrates. A bright effect is achieved by changing the structure of the surface on a micro level. We provide different chemical brightening strategies based on the surface requirements of your metal ensuring that the desired results can be achieved.

Pickling

Our pickling chemicals achieve intensive cleaning and activation of the metal surface, by the removal of a thin layer of the material processed. The result is a metallically pure surface, which is free of oxides and contamination of other metals. The aim of pickling is to enhance the service life and fitness for purpose of the base metal. Our processes cater to a wide range of substrates including – aluminium, titanium, copper and copper alloys etc.

STAINLESS STEEL PICKLING:

Pickling is an excellent method to increase the corrosion resistance of stainless steel. It is slightly different from other metals, as it requires the creation of an oxide layer. The process primarily attacks the grain boundary of the metal structure and gives the surface a matt to satin gloss appearance

APPLICATION METHODS
  • Immersion pickling
  • Spray pickling
  • Brush pickling

Passivation

Stainless steel passivation: With our technology, you can either rapidly form a complete passive layer or optimize an existing passive layer on stainless steel in its composition and structure. Tangible results are observed such as resistance to pitting, resistance to corrosion and stress corrosion, reduction of crevice corrosion and removal of ferritic contaminations.

Phosphating

For temporary corrosion protection and increased adhesiveness to top coats, we offer zinc and manganese phosphating solutions. Phosphating is a chemical process by which hardly soluble metal phosphate layers are formed on the base metal. This product is apt if the substrate is likely to undergo subsequent treatments with oil, lubricants and rust preventive paints.

Titanium Electro-Colouring

Gray Process – A gray ceramic titanium oxide layer is achieved which is firmly adherent, mechanically and chemically stable as well as electrically insulating.

Non-Etching Process – This process does not remove any material from the surface of the work piece and does not apply any layers from the electrolyte. The material is oxidized on the surface and a firmly adherent oxide layer is formed.

Stripping

Strippers are designed to strip an existing layer of paint or plated chemical from metals so as to return them to their base/virgin state.

OUR OFFERINGS
  • Acidic strippers: used to strip nickel from copper, copper alloys and brass
  • Electrolytic strippers: used to strip plated nickel from steel. These are also very effective for stripping tin, brass, silver, lead and copper.
  • Cyanide based strippers: which strip zinc, silver, copper, nickel and cadmium from steel without the use of an electric current
  • Non-cyanide alkaline stripper: devised to strip high phosphorous electroless nickel deposits from steel.
  • Paint/lacquer strippers
  • Gold Stripper
  • Rack Stripper
  • Electroless Nickel Stripper
  • Tin Stripper
